All potential adopters are telephonically screened to establish suitability. Upon adoption, new 'parents' sign an adoption form in which they agree to care for the kitten, etc and to get it sterilized (at 5 months for females, 6 months for males). New parents are contacted within 48 hours to check how the kitten is settling in, and again to remind them about spaying/neutering.
