We are extremely happy to let you know that Abandoned is now hosted by Webapps. They wanted to support our worthy cause and have taken over the hosting with no cost to us at all!! Thank you Webapps, we and all the animals you are helping to find a home appreciate it greatly.

SPCA Petition |

Nearly two and a half years ago 16 emaciated horses were removed by the Cape
Town SPCA from the farm of a practising veterinarian. At the time some of
them were reported to be up to 100kg underweight. The SPCA charged the
veterinarian with cruelty and neglect, starving and denying water to the
horses, confining them with inadequate ventilation and no protection from the
cold, allowing them to become infected with external parasites and failing to
render veterinary treatment.
This week the Malmesbury Magistrate's Court
discharged the case. This means the horses will be returned.

succeed in re-opening the case or preventing the horses from being returned

Stellenbosch Animal Welfare Updates
I have just finished updating the Stellenbosch Animal Welfare's page and boy have they got some good looking dogs just waiting for new moms and dads to take them home.
