The idea behind Abandoned is to have a single site dedicated to all the various organisations trying to find a good home for abandoned animals in South Africa. Abandoned was created to increase awareness of the various organisations and to help with the ever increasing need to find the perfect placement for those abandoned and abused pets.
Every province in South Africa has a section under which you will find the various organisations and groups desperately trying to home a loving pet. Details on how to adopt a specific pet from one of these organisations are displayed under their separate section along with pictures of the animal up for adoption and any relevant information regarding that animal.
You will find links to those organisation’s websites in their section if you wish to donate or find out any further details regarding them. Please visit those sites, as Abandoned may or may not be able to display every single animal up for adoption.
Abandoned is solely funded and maintained by a group of very caring likeminded individuals with experience in the animal rescue and re-homing field.

All organisations are welcome to advertise any fundraising events with us. We will advertise them on our forum as well as our events calendar.
